Pearl River Ramble 5k/10k Run
Kids' 1/2 Mile Fun Run

Purpose
To raise funds to complete a covered 40’ x 60’ pavilion on the community center property and provide programs to make the Henleyfield Community Center a center for every facet of the community life in Henleyfield.  To bring neighbors together and work as a community.

Scheduled Events

Friday 7 November

Henleyfield Heritage Day:
Lunch and entertainment, Henleyfield Seniors (80 yrs +) will discuss Henleyfield history. Period pictures will be displayed.  Newly published Henleyfield Heritage Cookbook will be introduced.  Plants will be for sale and Richard Swenson art will be exhibited.  Events will be videoed and recorded.

Saturday 8 November

The Pearl River Ramble: 
A competitive 10K marathon through the rural roads of Henleyfield.  Runners are being invited from Running and Track Clubs in our region.  An entry fee will be charged.

A Juvenile Horse Show:
To be held at Mill Creek Arena.   An entry fee will be charged.

A Fishing Rodeo:
Open to ages 6 – 15, along with a parent or other adult to fish in a Henleyfield pond. Prizes will be awarded.  An entry fee will be charged.

Gardening Symposium:
Guest speakers, plant and recipe exchange, and sale of items made from plants and herbs.

Youth Activities:
A special area will be designated for great activities for young people.

Sausage and Pancake Breakfast:
Free to 10K runners as part of entry fee.  Others may purchase.

Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Drinks will be for sale.

Live Music; Antique Cars; Clogging Exhibition; Silent Auction and more

SUNDAY 9 NOVEMBER

COMMUNITY DAY

Lunches will be sold from 12:00 – 3:00.  Remember those who passed away this year, Recognize Veterans; Recognize newcomers to the community, Gospel music and community sing.

Commemorative items will be for sale all three days, plus…the first opportunity to purchase the Henleyfield Heritage Cookbook

Richard Swenson art will be on display all three days.

Donate $10 for a drawing for a $1500 Walmart gift certificate.
